2009 Theo Minges Grauburgunder Kabinett Trocken -Pfalz, Germany 13,0%

Yassss! Appley leesiness, macadamia nut, apple blossoms, a supple, creamy texture (seems like at least a partial MLF, though that could just as easily be lower '09 malic acid on the natural), and it has some snap down the road too. Yum. It bears mention that Minges enjoys a very good reputation in the US as a good QPR producer and that is certainly the truth, though throughout the Südliche Weinstraße he is known as one of the bonafide superstars of the Pfalz, which is also deserved. The wines are just so thoughful at every level and they just keep getting better every year!

Cheers,
Bill

Sounds nice. I had to Google-search "Grauburgunder" to learn it is Pinot Gris. A few years ago, my sister brought me a bottle of Rulander TBA (also Pinot Gris) from a trip to Germany - it was wonderful.
Chico - Hey! This Bottle is empty!
Groucho - That's because it's dry Champagne.
