A wee BP:
1. The DCV Zin was on sale at 60% discount a few weeks ago. Normally $34; marked down to $17, w/ $1 shipping on case orders. We backed up the truck on that sale and got some 8 cs worth. Especially the Beeson and Sommers Zins were a steal.
This Spencer'sHill (named after Kim & Don's young son) is a new vnyd-designate Zin for DCV. I liked the wine, especially at $17; but didn't think it had the depth/intensity nor the dusty/old vine character of the Beeson or Sommers; though it had much the same spiciness those show.
