Not exactly your textbook Chateauneuf. The nose is very clean, the palate is dominated by Burgundy-like crisp acidity, flavor tends to syrah and grenache, not the animally mourvedre that often gives CDP its complex character. Oak is hidden. At present, the wine drinks rather primary, so I'm inclined to let it age a few more years before retrying. Better with food. I had it with T-Bone. (88+).

Thanks for that update Bernie. I have some of that and some 2001 that I have been thinking about trying. My experience with the Texiers stoppered with artificial corks has put this producer off my buy list.

I'm so glad to see someone else say this ... I've felt like a voice crying in the wilderness with my rant about this.
