I have always thought Jon Bonne to be an excellent writer.

That seems a very discriminating report. Not that I have any change of finding these wines in Belgium (a few perhaps in the UK) but if ever I visit California again the writer seems a guy whose taste is closer to mine than that of the likes of, say, James Laube. Has he written a book on wine?
