13.3% alcohol. Young, high-density vines. Dark purple and opaque in the glass. Forms legs on the side of the glass. More transparency as the level of wine in the glass diminishes. In the mouth the wine is juicy but short of tasting candied. It's an adaptable wine at the dinner table and paired nicely with julienned potatoes with pieces of ham in a smoked cheddar cheese sauce. Nice also with bites of the smoked cheddar cheese and a good companion to both fryer and oven-roasted turkey. Could also pair with duck confit or duck breast with cherries. Reasonably priced at $20-$30.
