Tried this last night w/ my roasted butternut squash & pancetta:
1. Siduri PinotNoir KeeferRanchVnyd/RRV (14.1%) 2008: Med.color; strong black cherry/plummy/Pinot rather toasty/oak light earthy straightforward Pinot nose; lightly tart light tannic strong black cherry/plummy/Pinot some toasty/pencilly/oak flavor; fairly long strong plummy/black cherry/Pinot some toasty/oak finish w/ modest tannins; needs several yrs yet; pretty classic Siduri Pinot and classic RRV Pinot. $34.50

A wee BloodyPulpit:
1. This is a pretty classic Siduri Pinot that I liked quite a lot. I've tried any number of both Siduri and Failla Pinots and Chards over the yrs from MarcieKeefer's Ranch. All good/solid wines. But I can't recall a KeeferRanch that has really knocked my sox off. Yet, anyway. Maybe w/ some age. This Siduri was one of the better KeeferRanch Pinots and seems to have the potential to turn into something very good. Great?? Don't know.
