I seem to have bought a case of this at some time in the distant past and forgotten to add it to my cellar list, which means it had less chance of being discovered and plundered.

Turned it up recently and tried a bottle tonight.

Dark wine with good colour and a plummy nose with nutmeg. Nice concentration with still evident tannins but good fruti and a lengthy finish. Now hitting stride, this should last well. Classy wine, no rush.

I've always liked this but never had one with that much age on it. Nice to hear it holds up well.
