WTN: Two Oceans Sauvignon Blanc 2010

by Bruce Hayes » Sat Nov 20, 2010 11:25 am

Distillers Corporation Limited
WO Western Cape

Bright yellow in the glass.

Strong gooseberry on the nose.

Medium weight, tangy, peppery, lemon rind, grapefruit, gooseberry, lime, zippy acidity, quite rich, a hint of vegginess, very clean.

Lemon, peppery, grapefruit rind on the finish.

Was quite impressed with this wine, given its large production and omnipresent availability. Lots of flavour and a real gooseberry-citrus snap. No wimpy SB here.

Screwcap closure.

Purchased at $9.95 (Canadian).

Thanks for the note, Bruce.

I haven't had that wine in years... Might be worth another go from the sounds of it.
