WTN: Carlisle Twackers '08..(short/boring)

We had last night w/ our GreenChileStew:
1. Carlisle TwoAcres RRV RW (Vines planted in 1910; 14.2%; Mourvedre/PS/Syrah/Caarignane/AlicanteBouschet; 290 cs) 2008: Med.dark color; rather spicy/plummy/black cherry some earthy/dusty/old vine very light toasty/oak quite interesting/spicy nose; some tart bit tannic/lean quite spicy/rosemary&thyme/blackberry/plummy slight cola/licorice light toasty/oak flavor; med.long some tannic/hard fairly tart very spicy/thyme/plummy/black cherry/cola light toasty/oak rather dusty/old vines quite interesting finish; a pretty classic old vine red w/ good structure and lots of interesting things; needs a yr to start showing much I suspect; a bit like an edgy Geyserville w/o the oak. $40.00

A wee BloodyPulpit:
1. This wine seemed a bit more restrained & polished than previous young Twackers, not a big & brooding Carlisle. No obvious varietal component stuck out; maybe the Mourvedre. As with most young Carlisles, the best is yet to come.
