WTN: 2007 F. Weins-Prum Wehlener Sonnenuhr Kabinett, Mosel

I ordered a glass of this with dinner at the Farmhouse Inn, Forestville, CA, Oct. 22.
8% alchol. Imported by Rudi Wiest. A.P. Nr. 2 576 566 1 08. Nearly colorless; transparent. Tastes more like a Spatlese in ripeness/sweetness but good. Waitress agreed that it was more like a Spatlese than a Kabinett. White stonefruits, a faint bit of white or pink peppercorn. Seductively easy to swallow quickly. Leaves a pleasing aftertaste. Hint of petrol? If so, very underplayed.
I had the appetizer of local heirloom tomatoes and Italian milk burrata (a cheese similar to Mozzarella.) I was surprised to see heirloom tomatoes on the menu as the season had ended in North Carolina, but the staff assured me that they were at their peak in Sonoma, and they were delicious. I think my main dish was fish but don't recall what one.
I had Port with dessert and will post under the Port thread.

Sounds like most Kabinetts from the past decade (perhaps with some exceptions from '08).
