A wee BloodyPulpit:
1. I've always liked the Dehlinger Syrahs. TomDehlinger has been producing them for quite a number of yrs. I've usually characterized them as Syrah made by a Pinot-producer. This one seemed to be a much different creature. His Syrahs are usually pretty polished and svelte...like a Pinot. This one is much bigger and extracted than any of his I can recall. Pretty tight & hard on the palate now. I have little doubt that it'll age into something very/very good.
