Quite nice, a good match for fried chicken with a sour cream and lemon sauce. Definitely Riesling (I've had some that could have been anything) but just a touch sweet to my taste for a Kabinett. 9% alcohol. It's from the Rheingau. I bought it at Beltramo's in Menlo Park last February for $23.99, which sort of bothers me. I think it would be a very nice $15 wine.
Knowing essentially nothing about German Rieslings, I find myself playing Blind Man's Bluff in the shop - there are usually very few choices, and the inexpensive ones taste cheap.

Try K&L or Dee Vine. More German riesling choices than you'll ever need and if you talk to the right person you shouldn't feel blind.
