2. InfiniteMonkey: Never heard of this wnry before until I stumbled across it in Boulder. The label is...rather unusual....bizarre. For those who whine for full disclosure on wine labels, this is your kind of label. Took me almost an hour to read the sucker. Details everything that was used in the winemaking....everything. More than most wine geeks would want to know.
I've not had many Oregon GWTs that made much of an impression on me. Though the wine only whispered faintly of GWT, it was far/far better than I was expecting. A bit Germanic in character, a bit Alsatian PG in character; but definitely very well made and very interesting.
Wish now I'd bought the entire tableau of the InfiniteMonkey wines when I was up there, which includes a bunch of reds. And the WebSite is as..unusual...as the label.

3. ReederMesa: Another unknown wnry for me. Just bought the btl to fill out my case. I've not tried any CO wines in maybe 4-5 yrs. If this wine is an example of what CO is making nowadays, then I better start trying more. Though a bit on the rough/rustic side, the wine spoke strongly of Syrah and was quite well made. An eyeopener.

4. I've followed the CO wines from the very start. That would be dentist Dr. Ivancie back in the mid-'70's. He had a young winemaker for him out of Chicago. Name was....WarrenWiniarski...which might ring a bell w/ some folks. Don't recall where the grapes were from, but think it was Calif, not CO. The wines were...pretty miserable. But the Winiarski guy improved his game, sourced better grapes, and did OK for himself.
