They have to fight the big distributer to get interesting wines on their lists. New smaller distributers have started to appear but it's not easy.

Although I know a few very nice guys who work for distributors at the local and regional level, it never fails to perplex me that, institutionally and collectively, the wholesale industry is so doggone evil.
