The Wall Street Journal reported today that 34 states have enacted cork and carry laws which make it legal to carry partially filled wine bottles away from restaurants. More are expected to be enacted in the future.
The Journal tried taking wine home in three different states with varying but fairly good results.
Bear in min 40 states and Washington, D.C., have "open container" laws prohibiting people from traveling in a car with an open bottle of wine, liquor or beer. Put it in the trunk of your car -- good practical advice for a number of reasons.
