WTN: 2007 Schäfer-Fröhlich Bockenauer Felseneck Nahe Spätlese

I do not remember who gave me this wine as a gift. I do offer whoever it was a hearty “thanks” in abstentia. I had never even seen this wine before, let alone had that pleasure of drinking it.

Color – Very pale yellow.

Aroma – Light yet persistent floral nose. Crisp, clean scent. Reminded me of my grandmother's garden that I visited in my youth.

Taste – Lemon, honey, and mineral notes. Nice acidity contributes to a clean mouth feel. Surprisingly long finish of pumpkin spice (?) for such a light wine. One of the better Nahe Rieslings that I have ever tasted.
