Nice "Monday Lunch Claret" with good Bordeaux character of black cassis earth and tobacco and savoryness. The half Cabernet means there are some tannins and it did seem to shut down a bit (turned a little harder and greener) with air toward the end of the evening. Still, being a direct import from K&L in the City, nice wine for a nice price (sub $20)!
2005 Chateau L'Avocat Graves Rouge. Another K&L wine at a steal of a price ($16). The winemaker is very charming! Greener than the B. Superieur above, but still deliciously fresh and slurpable if one is not expecting a great deal of rich fruit. Sold out.

I have one bottle from their better property in Pessac Leognan, Chateau de Seuil.
I still would rather drink stern, tannic Bordeaux than most California reds at this price point! I know that means I am weird.
