WTN: Simonsig Sunbird Sauvignon Blanc 2009

by Bruce Hayes » Mon Oct 04, 2010 9:19 am

WO Western Cape

Very light yellow in the glass.

Spicy, tangy, peppery, gooseberry on the nose.

Medium weight, very fleshy, gooseberry, lemon, orange, tangy acidity, crisp, refreshing, delicious, full in the mouth.

Mouthwatering, citrus, gooseberry on the very clean finish.

A great little wine at a good price.

Purchased at $12.95 (Canadian).

Bruce -- just being nosy, but is the Wine of Origin really Stellenbosch? I thought this had fruit from the cooler Elgin region in it.

I stand corrected. I checked the bottle and it states WO Western Cape. Will revise the WTN.

Thanks.
