2005 St. Innocent Pinot Noir Special Selection Seven Springs Vineyard
This is hands down the best St. Innocent Pinot Noir I have ever tasted. It's no shrinking violet, but it is balanced, very dry in its fruit expression, and velvety on the finish. It can certainly age a long time as well, as the balance is right on point. Outstanding wine.

David, I have very fond memories of the this vineyard wines from the early '90s (especially a gorgeous '93).
I heard that they can't source fruit from there anymore. Is that true? If so, then who is making wine there now?

Best
Eric

Jim - with only one bottle I say wait 1 more year or perhaps 2.

Eric - the wine is now made by a producer called Evening Land. Unfortunately the wine is quite candied and does not have the same balance as the St. Innocent versions. It seems Evening Land is going for a bigger and richer style. I was actually served the Evening Land version blind a few months ago (by my local merchant who used to sell the St. Innocent version), and it was a great disappointment.
