Prince Edward County wine trip

by Bruce Hayes » Fri Oct 01, 2010 6:31 pm

Debbie and I are just back from a two-day tasting, buying and dining trip to this relatively young Ontario wine region.

We visited about ten wineries, tasted lots and lots of local PEC wines (some poor, some average, some very good, and a few great), had afew very good meals, chatted with one winemaker (Norman Hardie) watched grape picking at several wineries, and came home with more than a case of wine.

There is something very exciting about touring a still young and fairly unknown wine region.

I hope to post winery-by-winery WTN within the next few days.

It's nice to be back.

Lovely area, I used to go there often (before grapes were grown). Haven't been back in about 7 years. Will have to try to remedy that next summer. Look forward to your notes, Bruce.
