WTN: 2005 Watermark Cabernet Sauvignon

Made by Phil Steinschriber of Diamond Creek fame as his side project.

Labelled "Napa Valley' so I am not sure this has any Diamond Mountain fruit in it, but I persuaded myself that the iron minerality came through????? What I can say for sure is that this was a very nice upper middle end cab with a focus on pure red fruit and mouthwatering acidity. Delicious. More sweet fruit than a Bordeaux-style cab, but the sweetness was not cloying or heavy in any way. Delicious.

I see from his website he made a Howell Mountain cab in 2006.
