I thought I'd pulled a 1996 Richie Creek Cab. tonight but got this wine, they both had very torn labels and looked a bit similar. This wine was ruby in color with bricking at the rim. Nose was cherry turning to prune/rasin much later. Tannins were very integrated. This wine is ready to go but will hold up for al least another decade and there was a good tannic backbone. The sweet and sour cherry flavors seemed to compete with each other. Not a great wine by no means but pleasant and with some future ahead of it. I doubt any interesting secondary flavors will emerge.
