WTN: 2006 Produttori del Barbaresco "Normale"

by David M. Bueker » Fri Sep 10, 2010 7:18 am

Lot 9.097 for those of you playing at home - recently confirmed to have none of the riserva juice in it (lots later than 9.100 apparently do), but delicious anyway. There's plenty of bright fruit, and the back end acidity is an awakening force. The tannins are not too sever, so it's possible to drink and enjoy this version now, which is a plus considering how long some of the riservas (e.g. 1996) take to come around.

David--
I picked up a bottle and stashed it before reading about the whole lot / declassified business. I presume the lot number is indicated on the label?

Lot number is in small print near the bottom of the back label.
