A 1/3-1/3-1/3 blend of Cab, Cab Franc, and Merlot.

Shows the Signorello character...dark fruit, leather, tons of tobacco, earthyness. Spiky tennins...this wine could have waited a couple of years for prime drinking, but I love this winery's style and don't mind tannins! Even their Zinfandel, while showing varietal character in spades (berry fruit and brashness!) has a lovely earthyness that I find very appealing.

I visited the winery while bicycling on Friday and was enthusing about the wines to the very nice French lady behind the counter when I discovered she was the winemaker's wife!
