Reading Between the Wines - Terry Theise

Not sure if I missed the thread on this, but I just picked this up. I'm only about 1/4 of the way through right now, but already I have to say this is some of the best wine writing I have ever encountered. Ranks right up there with Matt Kramer's missives on the nature of wine.

I'm surprised I haven't seen more enthusiasm out there on this book.

Edit: It's "Wines" not "vines" in the title. Sorry! (And I have the book sitting right next to me.)

I'm about half way through the book, and other than one gripe* I really enjoy it. I don't think it's a book you hype though. It really would not fit with the spirit of the prose.

Agreed, I have been running across examples used in his previous writings every few pages. But (so far) I like the way he is stringing it all together into a kind of Theise manifesto on wine.
