WTN: Errazuriz Single Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc 2008

by Bruce Hayes » Wed Sep 01, 2010 10:45 am

Casablanca Valley

Light yellow in the glass.

Some light vegginess on the nose.

Medium weight, gooseberry, lemon, orange, good tangy acidity, cleansing, refreshing, some veggy notes, citrus peel, creamy, honey, quite big and rich.

Tangy, peppery, citrus peel on the finish.

Quite an intersesting SB. It was aged on its lees, which accounts for the big size and richess, I guess. Also, when cold, gooseberry and veggy notes were dominate, but when it warmed, honey and orange came to the forefront.

Purchased at $14.95 (Canadian).
