Clear ruby red. Slight earthy and oaky tart cherries with black cherry overtones on the nose. Cherry infused midpalate with nice acidity and tame tannins. Medium to long finish of acidic red fruit and a slight tannic bite at the end.
With food: Nice match with grilled wild Coho salmon covered with sauteed mushrooms. Even matches up with sliced fresh tomatos from the garden.
Overall: nice pinot, slightly overripe for my tastes, but goes with food.
