From a cork-sealed bottle with a high fill level, half-stained cork. 11.5% A/V! Vivid semi-transluscent medium magenta. Enticing, medium-weight nose of frosted raspberries, porcini mushroom tending to morels with a savoury, earthy overlay. With extra air, the aromatics expanded to incorporate a plummy richness, a distinctive gamy/deli meat character and some striking, most attractive biscuity/smoky oak. The palate is a little dilute and diffuse at first to gradually realise a pleasant light to medium body, reasonable carry with relatively high acidity and some high-toned oak and skin tannins. I'll leave it for another hour or so and see if it fleshes out more with some hang time. Will report back in a few hours. At this stage I'm having trouble getting to 85 points.

Postscript - Not a lot to report, unfortunately. Excellent nose as above but the palate lacks attack and substance. Drinkable and enjoyable as a quaffer but that's about all - 84 points.
Cheers,

David
