Looking for a way to cut down on some of the error messages that result from corrupted files, Bill. We have kept every single message ever posted on this iteration of the forum software so we can keep a permanent archive of WTN and RCP posts, but this is forum software, not database software, and it was never intended that the databases grow so big. We're reaching a point where increasing errors are likely to bring the whole server down.
Rather than harshly delete all posts older than 6 weeks (the recommended time), we're going to try surgically pulling older WTN and RCP posts out to read-only archives where people can still see them but where the size of the writable database won't put all the forums at risk.
The structure is up today, but it will take weeks, maybe months, to move all the older tasting reports and recipes over.
