Terra D'Aligi

Chilled before supper.

Purple in the glass.

Plummy, earthy, with some anise on the nose.

Quite hefty in the mouth, black cherry, plummy, chocolate, drying, very tangy, black licorice with a bit of alcohol burn.

Hot, drying and bitter on the finish.

I have enjoyed this wine over several vintages and it is usally a pretty depenable tipple. I thought this version was drier and tarter than previous ones and I didn't appreciatethe obvious alcohol.

Purchased at $15.95 (Canadian).
