I have been in contact with The Amazing Blue taxi company in Ann Arbor. This is in regards to taxi transportation from The lodge, to the Friday evening affair that is being thrown for the organizers and for out of towners
The Amazing Blue Taxi operates mini vans that carry 6 passengers and they will charge us $80 each way for a total of $160 per taxi. This works out to just under $27 per person. I suggest adding a $50 tip for the driver. If we do that it works out to an additional $10 considering husband and wife teams as one person. Of course the math would change if there would be more than one husband and wife team.
I know for a fact that I will not be driving, and I suspect many others will also take the taxi. Thing is we are getting short on time, so I need a headcount of those wishing to take a taxi instead of risking drinking and driving. Michigan law is very much enforced, so be aware of that. Also, from experience I know for certain that the passenger list is cutoff at 6, they will not "squeeze" in another person.
