Estremadura
Casa Santos Lima

A blend of Periquita, Camarate, Tinta Miuda and Preto Martinho.

Dark red in the glass.

Meaty notes, crushed berries and spicy on the nose.

Medium weight, very smooth and silky in the mouth, dried cherry, tea, smoked meats, herbal, good acidity, lightly tarry, blood pudding, floral, earthy, bitter chocolate, drying, roasted notes.

Drying, beef broth on the finish.

A very interesting and complex wine.

Purchased at $12.95 (Canadian).
