AC Canon-Fronsac

Primarily Merlot with a bit of Cabernet Franc.

Chilled before supper.

Dark red in the glass.

Smoky, currants, herbs (thyme and oregeno), sweet on the nose.

Medium weight, smoky, tarry, earthy, cherry, drying, mature notes, good acidity, floral, spicy, with a strong bitter streak toward the end.

Unfortunately, the bitter streak intensified with time and became quite annoying.

Mouthwatering, drying, bitter, with somwhat cooked fruit on the finish.

Purchased at $19.95 (Canadian).
