I love old, cheap Champagne!

I bought a bottle of NV Pommery Bl de Bl recently for the incredible price of $16.50 (half-price sale in Ft. Wayne). I had to try it soon to see about buying more. It was delicious in that old mushroomy way with lots of small bead and some doughyness. I'll be getting all they have. There was no way to know how old it was, no disgorgement date or lot # but it just tasted old with lots of pear fruit and complexity.

When I spot champagne on sale and I can afford it, I buy it. I drink it when I can. I love NV as it develops. It is great in all the different stages. I am right with you Jim. Of course Pommery is one of my favorite of the larger houses.
Yes, and how many deaths will it take 'til he knows
That too many people have died?
The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind
