TN: Selbach Z-Sonn 2001 Kabinett

Haven't had one of these in quite a while, drinking great! Rich and ripe, terrific yellow peach, hints of petrol (very slight). Textured, balanced and truly GREAT! I wonder how many more of these I have...

well, I only have half as many as you do, David, but I might have to try one soon. Seems the last time I opened one, it followed an 01 egon muller kabinett and by comparison seemed a bit dense (that scharzhofberger was lighter than air yet fairly intense).

Most things that follow Egon Muller seem a bit dense.

Sums up those Muller wines pretty well!

Thanks for the note Michael, sounds lovely. I really need to drink more Selbach-Oster (once I get back to the US..)

Fingers crossed, hopefully they won't go down the romantic route of the '01 Zelt Sonn Kab you'd opened right before I left.
