WTN: Wind Gap goes orange

2008 Wind Gap Wines Pinot Gris Windsor Oaks Vineyard
The first thing that struck me was the pink tinge to the wine. I figured the glass was stained, so I poured some more into a new stem, and it was still the same pinkish hue. Aromatically it's an alluring blend of pear fruit, herbs, brown spice & orange rind. The flavors are similar, though the wine has a bit of a mid-palate hole that leaves it a bit wanting. Still this is the most interesting of the Wind Gap line up, a group of wines that had until now failed to privde much interest.

Night two: fell apart in the bottle. Nothing of interest left in the wine. If you have them, consume the whole bottle on night 1.
