2008 Knapp, Cayuga Lake, Cabernet Franc ($14.95 U.S. at winery); alcohol level: 12%. This is a wonderful wine from the folks at Knapp, is not estate grown.
It gives you a big load of red berries on the nose and upfront. There is more fruit along with some green herbs and a touch of oak in the middle. The finish lingers nicely.
The wine matched perfectly with slow roasted duckling with orange sauce, wild rice stuffing, and salad. It was a delightful Sunday dinner with family. We also had blueberry cobbler for dessert. Mmmm good.
