Perfumed, rosewater on the nose. A little grapey with orange rind mixed in. Light and a little spicy. Faint lychee and pomelo. Sort of like a light, rather acidic Gewurztraminer. There is sweetness in this wine bt it is held in check by the wine's distinctly bitter edge. Quite complex. I suspect better as an aperitif rather than a food wine although it did go rather well with air dried ham and salami. Not too successful when paired with a peppered blue cheese, with the wine's sweetness not strong enough to counter the salty cheese.
Three be the things I shall never attain:
Envy, content, and sufficient champagne.
