WTN: Godo Rosso 2008

by Bruce Hayes » Thu Jul 01, 2010 8:58 am

IGT Rosso Veronese
Remo Farina

A blend of Corvino and some other unnamed local varieties.

Good cherry red in the glass.

Earthy and old cheese on the nose.

Light to medium bodied, drying, tart, quite tangy, raspberry, cherry, strawberry, currants, dried flowers, slighly raisined.

Some bitterness, tangy and strawberries on the finish.

Quite nice, but could have dialled back a bit on the dry and tart side.

Purchased at $13.95 (Canadian).
