Travel question: Has anyone visited JL Chave's cellar?

by Ted Richards » Tue Jun 15, 2010 6:01 pm

Linda and I will be taking a cruise on the Rhône and Saône in August, and we'll be within a few km of JL Chave's cellar for one day. Has anyone visited them? Do they even allow non-trade visitors?

He's my favourite wine maker, and I'd love to have a look around.

Ted; I visited in 1990, with Gérard Chave, but I had an appointment through Kermit, who no longer imports the wines. I think an appointment is the only way you'll get to visit, and lots of advance planning will give you the best chance. Good luck!
I don't know just how I'm supposed to play this scene, but I ain't afraid to learn...
