WTN: El Burro Kickass Garnacha 2008

by Bruce Hayes » Sun Jun 13, 2010 9:14 am

Guy Anderson Wines
Carinena (Spain)

From the same company/guy that brought us the Fat Bastard line of wines.

Chilled before dinner.

Dark purple in the glass.

Cinnamon, smoky, cherry candy on the nose.

Smoky, juicy, raspberry, cherry, blueberry, medium weight, cinnamon candy, very spicy, good acidity with some alcohol roughness and burn which only increased with time and ruined what began as a decent wine.

Drying and rough alcohol on the finish.

Purchased on sale at $9.60 (Canadian).

It's all about the name, then. Should sell well in Texas. :)

Kickass, huh? For a moment, I thought you were channeling Obama...
