WTN: A trip to Spain

2008 Salneval Albariño Found this on closeout at Cost Plus ($6.88, normally $11)and decided to give it a try. I'm glad I did. A nice refreshing summer wine giving off floral and lemon notes. Tastes of peaches, apples, some river rock and a bit of lemon zest. A few nights later it's still as refreshing as when first opened, but it has picked up a bit of weight in the mid-palate. Pretty decent juice for the price. Might have to check some other locations for some more.

My experiences with Albarino have ranged from pleasant to "I really like this." I'm thinking it will be a staple of my summer drinks from now on along with Sancerre Sauvignon Blanc and the occasional Riesling and rose'.
