WTN: Wrong Sancerre, right match

Lovely night on the patio, perfect spring day, with a asparagus/pea risotto with gremolata and a salad of cucumber, canteloupe, and lime. Cooking and drinking wine was the 2005 Daniel Crochet Sancerre. As previously noted, a mistake purchase, I thought I getting Lucien Crochet. As mistakes go, this turned out ok. Good typicity, ripe but with solid acids. Grapefruit, gooseberry, and a little grass. Flinty mineral edge on finish. Not something to seek out, but niceSancerre that went well with the food.

Grade disclaimer: I'm a very easy grader, basically A is an excellent wine, B a good wine, C mediocre. Anything below C means I wouldn't drink at a party where it was only choice. Furthermore, I offer no promises of objectivity, accuracy, and certainly not of consistency.
