I can buy more of these wine but will not be able to taste them all before the sale ends.

1998 Gyser Peak Res. Shiraz for----------------------------------- $21.50
2005 Ch. St. Jean Cinq Cepages------------------------------------$48.00
2005 Whitehall Lane Res. Cab.-------------------------------------$45.00
2007 Beringer Alluvium White--------------------------------------$9.30
2007 Beringer PR Chardonnay--------------------------------------$19.00
2002 Dom. Serene "Evenstad" Pinot Noir-------------------------$29.00
2003 d'Arenberg "Dead Arm" Shiraz-------------------------------$40.00
2006 d'Arenberg "laughling Magpie"-------------------------------$16.00
2005 Conn Valley Vineyard Chard.---------------------------------$22.50

The Whitehall Lane and the Dom. Serene and of most interest to me.

Jim, I agree with Bernie. The Serene is half price. Most of the others are pretty close to pre-recession retail, if slightly lower.

If you like the Beringer Private Reserve Chard (are you a termite?) then that is quite the price.

Agree with Domaine Serene. Dead Arm Shiraz seems rather high priced for a sale. It's one I might enjoy more for a single glass than to have a whole bottle on hand.

Thanks all for your replys. I may get a couple more of the Evenstad Res. P.N. and some more Whitehall Lane too. I doubt that any Magpie or Beringer PR Chard is still available.

I've not seen the Dead Arm (any vintage) for less than $50.00. Seems an alright price to me.

Maybe you are right for current vintages. Prices on wine-searcher.com have a lot of variance but some of the 2005 vintage is on sale for less than $30 at New York retailers. And the vintage got good reviews from the big-name wine publications.

David, David, David... You of all people know that the oak on most good wines will intergrate with a few years-That Beringer will be drinking well in about 2012. (In your language, It's like buying the just released J J Prum and running home and drinking it, only to be turned off by the sulfer smell.)

I would worry that the Beringer would be dead in 2012. I've had a few and they were not long lived.
