Tried last night w/ dinner:
1. Novy Syrah NapaVlly (Page-NordVnyd; 33% WholeCluster; 14.3%) 2007: Very dark color; strong blackberry/boysenberry/Syrah/RCCola/spicy slight licorice light toasty/pencilly/oak very attractive nose; soft bit tannic/hard strong blackberry/Syrah/boysenberry/RCCola light toasty/pencilly/oak bit alcoholic flavor; long strong blackberry/boysenberry/Syrah/RCCola some tannic/hard bit alcoholic light toasty/oak finish; needs several yrs of age; a tasty/solid/4Square Syrah at a very good price. $16.50

A wee BloodyPulpit:
1. I'm not particularly a big fan of most up-valley NapaVlly Syrahs. Of Adam's Syrahs, I tend to find his NapaVlly versions the least interesting of his tableau. This version was not as distinctive as his RRV or SLH versions; but still a good solid Syrah that I liked quite a bit.
