Petrus '82; Screaming Eagle '99: OnLine Charity Auction

by Kathy H » Thu May 27, 2010 6:25 pm

The Guidance Center Of New Rochelle (Westchester NY) is holding an online charity auction at: http://www.biddingforgood.com/theguidancecenter. All proceeds of the sale of the wines will fund programs of the organization. Act now, the sale closes on June 1, 2010. Here is a great opportunity to do a good deed and purchase 2 rare wines at possibly bargain prices. Both wines were stored in temperature controlled environments and were donated to The Guidance Center. For more information about the Guidance Center go to:http://www.theguidancecenter.org. I asked for and received permission to enter this post from the forum management.

Welcome Kathy.
For anyone wondering about propriety of this post, I should note that Kathy ran it past a moderator before posting. Jenise approved it (I run a non=profit in Westchester, and she checked legitimacy of the Guidance Center with me- it's a non-profit with a fine rep).
These are the kinds of wines that are out of my league, but opening bids are actually way below value-I'm going to register and get the ball rolling. If I won even the less expensive it would be double what I had ever spent before, but I hope I get outbid by 4X - this is for charity!

Dale
PS In interest of disclosure, I should note that while I know of the Guidance Center, I have no connection to it or Kathy.
