Showed very nice chianti-esque tangyness as it opened up. A touch of the candied character which, imho, mars too many California Sangioveses, but the cabernet provided structure and earthyness and dark fruit notes that complemented the Sangio. And...as noted above, the tangy chianti cahracter came more to the fore over the evening. To be honest, I enjoyed this more than the Chianti Classico we tried last week...more flavor and structure and earthyness. bravo, goosecross!
Too bad they don't do this blend anymore.
