Their "basic" non appellation-specific cabernet.

"Voluptuous" is the word I would use...beautiful mouth feel and finish that goes on forever. Plenty of berry and cherry fruit, some anise notes. Maybe a little monolithic-lacks the bright acidity of the Howell Mountain bottling from this vintage. Love that finish, though.

On the demerit side...the oak seemed heavier here than the H.M. bottling. Some might find the green core a problem, but I actually liked it, beleiving that it adds freshness to the wine.

Over all, a solid 90 points>? (versus the 93 for the Howell Mountain)
