WTN: Hail to the Chief

2005 Domaine de la Presidente Cairanne Cotes du Rhone Villages - Black plums and dark berries on the nose. Tastes of same, with sour cherries added. The hint of alfalfa-prune mix at the end makes me think there is Mourvedre in the blend. Very good with food (marinated grilled lamp tips) and pleasant enough after dinner. Not as robust as I'd like but ok for $16 (at Total Wine).

Love these pun titles--adds a bit of extra anticipation in that lost second or between clicking on the post and it opening up. Sounds like a good wine and a good buy. I honestly think I could live on Cotes du Rhone wines--so great for so little money, and no two are really ever quite the same so it's not like boredom would set in.
My wine shopping and I have never had a problem. Just a perpetual race between the bankruptcy court and Hell.--Rogov
