Tried this last night w/ pork kebobs:
1. DryCreekVnyd PinotNoir DCV10/RRV (450 cs; 14.5%) 2007: Med.dark color; some toasty/charred/vanilla/Fr.oak light earthy strong spicy/black cherry/Pinot slight RRV/peppery slight herbal/smokey rather perfumed nose; fairly tart charred/smokey/vanilla/Fr.oak slight peppery/spicy strong black cherry/Pinot/DrPepper/spicy flavor w/ some tannins; fairly long black cherry/chocolate covered cherries/CherryMash/peppery/Pinot/DrPepper some pencilly/vanilla/charred/oak finish w/ slight tannic bite; quite a nicely done Pinot that speaks of RRV. $30.00

A wee BloodyPulpit:
1. This arrived in my VSP shipment last week. DCV only occasionally make a Pinot from their DCV10 vnyd down in the RRV. I thought the '06 last year was pretty unthrilling. This '07 version is far/far better. The oak is present, but not out of balance. The wine has that classic DryCreekVnyd balance to it. I think it needs another yr and see no reason it won't go out 4-6 yrs. A serious Pinot at a very good price.
